Terms of Service

You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.

We provide live 1:1 English lessons, AI-powered practice tools (including our assistant "Stella" and roleplay), original daily learning content, a notebook, goals, and rewards. Live classes run through a third-party video provider.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Accounts are personal and may not be shared. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Lessons are purchased as packages that grant lesson credits. Prices are shown at checkout and charged through Stripe. Credits are applied to your account and deducted when you book or take a lesson. Prices and packages may change, but changes do not affect credits already purchased.

We run a consumer-friendly refund policy and do not limit mandatory consumer rights under applicable law (including Korea’s Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce).

• Your first lesson is a free trial.
• Individual lessons: cancel or reschedule 12+ hours before the start time for a full credit refund. Cancel 3–12 hours before and the credit is returned as a "last-minute credit" usable within 24 hours. Cancellations within 3 hours, or no-shows, forfeit the credit.
• Unused credits — cooling-off: within 7 days of purchase you may withdraw and receive a full refund of any unused credits (Electronic Commerce Act, Art. 17).
• Unused credits — after 7 days: unused credits are refundable on request; lessons already taken are settled at the single-lesson rate.
• Refunds are processed to your original payment method within a reasonable time (typically 3 business days) after a valid withdrawal or request.
• We may adjust this policy; the version in effect when you purchase applies to that purchase.

"Stella" is an automated AI assistant and our daily articles are original educational material (inspired by, but not copied from, public reporting). AI output may be imperfect and is for learning purposes only — not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

You agree not to use the Service unlawfully; harass, abuse, or harm others; disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access; or resell or share your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The Service and our content — idiom cards, daily articles, materials, branding, and software — are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them for personal English learning. Content you create (e.g., notebook entries) remains yours; you grant us a limited license to host and display it to operate the Service.

The Service relies on third parties (e.g., Stripe for payments, Daily.co for video). Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s terms and privacy practices.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to comply with the law. Unused credits may be refunded where required.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence (including Korea, under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce) still apply. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first — please contact us.

We may update these Terms; we will post the new effective date and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use means acceptance.
