Purchase a lesson pack to load credits to your account. Each lesson you take uses one credit. Credits never expire.

Open `/student/booking`. Pick a date, time, package (Trial / 1× / 8-pack / 16-pack / 24-pack), and optionally type a topic. Click **수업 예약하기** (Book class). The lesson shows on your dashboard immediately.

Yes. Open the lesson card on your dashboard and use the cancel/reschedule action. 24+ hours before: free, full credit back. 2–24 hours before: returned as a "last-minute credit" usable within 24 hours. Within 2 hours, or a no-show: forfeits the credit.

Each lesson has 3 goals (auto-seeded for trial lessons: compound sentence · accurate grammar sentence · new vocabulary word). During class: 1. Student claims a goal complete by tapping it (turns teal — "pending verify") 2. Teacher verifies (turns gold — "verified") 3. All 3 verified = bonus stamp + Lucky Ticket unlock It's an honor system on the student side, but the DB blocks students from self-verifying.

When your lesson is about to start, a "Join Lesson" button will appear on your dashboard. Click it to enter the video room.

Refresh `/student/dashboard`. If your lessons still don't show after 5 minutes, this is rare — I'll flag it for John with your Stripe receipt details and he'll reconcile it within a day.

Currently **Uncle J (John Saab)** is the only teacher — that's the BETA experience. He's TESOL-certified with 10+ years of ESL experience, specializing in adult learners preparing for business, travel, immigration, and daily-life English. Additional facilitators join in Phase 2 (Months 4-9 of the platform roadmap).

Not yet — class recording isn't a feature of the BETA platform. It's on the roadmap for Phase 2 once we have more teachers and a content moderation pipeline. For now, all key vocabulary and phrases auto-save to your `/student/notebook` so you don't lose anything.

**English and Korean** in the UI — toggle anytime in the sidebar (한국어 button). Lessons themselves are taught in English with Korean support as needed. Vocabulary in your notebook saves with both English and Korean translations.

The Idiom Card Deck is a collection of 50 common English idioms with bilingual explanations, memory hooks, and speaking prompts — all with anime-style illustrations.

Open `/student/profile/edit`. Upload a new picture (any image that fits), change your display name or **public handle** (the alias other students see if you're pseudonymous). Click **Save**.

Yes — within 14 days of purchase, for unused lessons. Refunds need to be processed manually, so I'll flag your request for John with your Stripe receipt details. He reviews refund requests daily.

**3 ways to earn stamps:** 1. Complete a lesson → 1 stamp 2. Verify all 3 in-class goals → 1 bonus stamp 3. Use last session's expression in this one ("Wild Stamp") **10 stamps = 1 free class.** When you complete all 3 goals in a lesson, you also unlock a **Lucky Ticket scratch-off**. Drag to reveal one of: bonus stamp (60%), pick your next topic (25%), 15-min chat with Uncle J (10%), or a full free 25-min session (5%).

**3-step fix:** 1. Click the 🔒 lock icon left of your browser address bar 2. Set Camera + Microphone to **Allow** 3. Refresh the page (`Ctrl+R` or `Cmd+R`) If you're using a headset, also check System Settings → Sound to make sure the right input device is selected. Still stuck? Run a device test at `/test-video` before joining class.

Refresh the page first. If still blank: 1) check your internet (wired beats WiFi), 2) close other tabs using bandwidth, 3) try a private/incognito window. If the room genuinely doesn't exist, your teacher hasn't launched the class yet — give it 1-2 minutes after the scheduled start time.
