Confucius was a Chinese teacher and thinker who lived around 500 BCE in the state of Lu, in what is now eastern China. He spent his life teaching people how to live well together.
공자는 기원전 약 500년에 지금의 중국 동부 지역인 노나라에서 살았던 중국의 스승이자 사상가예요. 그는 평생 사람들에게 올바르게 함께 사는 법을 가르쳤어요.

Confucius had around 3,000 students during his lifetime — that is a very large class even by today's standards!
