The Uncle J ESL level test is a three-stage AI-powered assessment that measures your real English ability fairly. When you finish, you receive a CEFR level along with a personalised breakdown of your strengths and next focus areas.
HOW TO USE THIS · 사용 방법

Stage 1 · Listening — Multiple-choice questions (A1–C1). You hear audio clips and select the best answer. Your score places you at the highest level where you passed roughly 50 % or more of the items.
1단계 · 듣기 — 객관식 문항 (A1–C1). 오디오를 듣고 정답을 선택합니다. 약 50% 이상 통과한 가장 높은 레벨로 점수가 매겨집니다.
Stage 2 · Reading & Grammar — Cloze multiple-choice (A1–C1). You complete sentences by choosing the correct word or phrase. The same 50 %-pass rule applies per band.
2단계 · 읽기 & 문법 — 빈칸 채우기 객관식 (A1–C1). 문장을 완성하는 단어나 표현을 고릅니다. 각 레벨에서 동일한 50% 통과 기준이 적용됩니다.
Stage 3 · Speaking — Open-ended questions, AI-graded. Your answers are scored on four sub-skills: Fluency, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Pronunciation (each 1–5). Your speaking result is blended with the MC baseline (2:1 ratio) to set your final level.
3단계 · 말하기 — 자유 응답, AI 채점. 유창성·어휘·문법·발음 4개 하위 영역(각 1–5점)으로 점수가 매겨집니다. 말하기 결과는 MC 기준 점수와 2:1 비율로 합산되어 최종 레벨이 결정됩니다.

FAIRNESS GUARANTEE
In the speaking stage, empty responses, nonsense sounds, or repeated answers cannot inflate your level — genuine speech is required to place above A2. This keeps your result honest and accurate. Don't worry about perfection — just try your best and answer naturally!
