Many people marched in streets in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir

A large crowd of people walked through the streets of Kashmir. Kashmir is a place between Pakistan and India. The two countries both want to control it.

Thousands of people joined the march. They wanted to show their feelings about politics. The march became dangerous very quickly.

Fighting broke out between different groups. Police tried to stop the violence. At least fifteen people died in the clashes.

After the fighting, the city changed completely. Streets became empty. Almost all shops closed their doors. Police drove through the streets in cars. People stayed in their homes.

The capital city felt very different. Normally, many people walk outside. Markets are busy and loud. Children play in parks. But now, nobody wanted to go outside.

The government added more police to the streets. Soldiers watched the main roads. People felt afraid and worried.

This event shows how serious the problem is. Kashmir has had problems for many years. People have different ideas about which country should control it. This march and the violence made things worse.
