Myanmar's millions still waiting for freedom from military rule

Imagine living in a country where the army controls everything. You cannot speak freely. You cannot choose your leaders. For years, millions of people in Myanmar dreamed of freedom. They wanted to change their country.

Then, in 2021, the military took complete control. Many people were sad and angry. They hoped things would get better soon. Families and friends worked together. Some people protested. Some wrote on social media. They all believed change was possible.

But change did not come quickly. Years passed. The military stayed strong. Many people now feel tired and sad. They wonder if their dream will ever happen. Young people especially feel this way. They see other countries that are free and democratic. They ask themselves: "Will Myanmar ever be like that?"

However, some people still believe. They say that big changes always take a long time. They point to other countries that fought for freedom and won. They tell younger people: "Do not give up. History shows us that dreams can come true."

Today, Myanmar's future is uncertain. People still want freedom and democracy. But many feel discouraged. They are tired from fighting. They need hope. They need to see that their dream is still possible.
