Experts find pellet-gun wounds on India's protest victims

Did you know that tiny round marks on skin can tell a story? In India, doctors and ballistic experts looked closely at injuries on protesters. They found something important: the wounds matched pellet-gun injuries.

A pellet gun is different from a regular gun. Instead of firing one bullet, it fires many tiny metal balls at the same time. When these pellets hit skin, they make many small round punctures. Each mark looks like a small dot.

Experts examined the protesters' wounds carefully. They saw dozens and dozens of these small round punctures. The pattern was very clear and easy to recognize. "This is pellet-gun fire," the ballistic experts said. They were confident in their findings.

Why is this discovery important? It helps explain what happened during the protests. The wounds show what kind of weapon was used. This information is useful for doctors and for people who want to understand the events.

Pellet guns are used by some police forces around the world. They are considered less dangerous than regular bullets. But as this case shows, they can still cause real injury to people. The many small wounds can be very painful.

The protesters' injuries are now part of the record. The expert examination gives us clear information about what these people experienced. It is one more piece of evidence in understanding recent events in India.
