캐나다 호수에서 사라졌던 떠다니는 섬이 다시 나타났다

Imagine a whole island that moves like a boat on water. This really happened in British Columbia, Canada.

A small, floating island drifted near the shore of a local lake. People saw it. Then it disappeared. Nobody knew where it went. But recently, it appeared again, and officials are very surprised.

The island is not made of rock or dirt like normal islands. It floats because it is made of plants and wood. Over many years, plants grow together. They make a thick mat on the water. This mat can be very large—sometimes as big as a house or bigger.

When the weather changes, the wind and water move the floating island. It can drift to different places. One day it is here. The next day it is far away. This is why the island disappeared. The wind pushed it across the lake.

Now scientists want to understand this mystery. They ask: Where did this island start? How long will it stay? What makes it move? These are hard questions to answer.

Floating islands like this are rare but real. They happen in many lakes around the world. Most people never see them. This island in Canada is special because people noticed it, it disappeared, and now it is back.

Did you know that nature can surprise us? Even in modern times, we find things we do not understand. This floating island teaches us that our world is still full of mystery. What would you do if you saw a whole island floating past your home?
