남중국해에서 섬을 만드는 나라들

The South China Sea is important to many countries. It has fish, oil, and shipping roads. China built many islands in this sea. These islands help China claim more water. Now other countries see what China did. They want to build islands too.

Why do countries build islands? Islands mean power and control. A country with an island can claim the water around it. This water can have fish and resources. China built islands very quickly. Other countries watched and learned.

Now Vietnam, the Philippines, and others are building too. They build islands to protect their claims. They want their share of the sea's riches. Building islands is expensive and hard work. But countries think it is important.

Many people worry about this situation. More islands mean more problems. Countries may have fights over the water. Ships use this sea every day. If there are problems, trade can stop.

The world watches this situation closely. Big countries like the United States care about peace in the sea. They want ships to move safely. They want countries to talk, not fight.
