Have you ever found something important in your home? Scientists had the same surprise recently!

In 1985, researchers went to Antarctica. This is a very cold place with ice and snow. They collected many rocks and bones. One bone was special. It came from a dinosaur tail. But something strange happened. Nobody looked at it carefully for many years. It sat in a drawer! A drawer is a small box in a desk or cabinet.

Last year, scientists opened that drawer again. They found the dinosaur bone! They were very surprised. "This is amazing," they said. The bone is from a Titanosaur. These dinosaurs were very, very big. Some Titanosaurs were longer than three buses!

Why did nobody find this bone before? Scientists had many bones from that trip. The drawer bone looked like other rocks at first. It was easy to miss. But when they looked closely, they saw bones inside. The shape was different. It was a real dinosaur tail!

This bone is important for science. Dinosaurs lived on every continent. But nobody ever found bones in Antarctica before. This bone helps us learn how animals lived there millions of years ago. The world was warmer then. Antarctica was not frozen ice.

Scientists think more bones are still waiting in drawers and boxes. Maybe your home has something amazing too! Do you have old things in your house that you have never really looked at?
