영국, 160년 만에 가장 더운 6월 기록

Did you know that England just broke a temperature record that has stood for nearly 160 years? Last June was the hottest on record since 1865.

When scientists measure temperature, they write down numbers every single day. They have been doing this for a very long time. The data shows us patterns. It tells us if the world is getting hotter or colder. Last month, the numbers were very high.

England was not alone. The whole United Kingdom felt the heat too. Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland were warm. But England had the highest temperatures. The Met Office is the UK weather service. They checked all the numbers carefully. They said: this June was the warmest ever.

Why does this matter? Hot weather changes how we live. People need more water. Plants need more rain. Animals move to cooler places. Workers in factories feel tired. Children play outside less.

This is not a one-time event. Scientists see a clear trend. Each year, summer gets a little hotter. This year was hotter than last year. Last year was hotter than the year before. The pattern is real. The pattern worries people.

What can we do? We can use less energy. We can plant trees. We can help cool our cities. Small changes add up. Every person can help.

Think about this: What does hot weather feel like in your life? How do you stay cool?
