27년 만의 일식, 구름에 가려 스코틀랜드 실망

Did you know that you can stand in one place and see the sun disappear in the middle of the day? That is a solar eclipse. Scotland had an amazing chance on August 12th. It was the best eclipse in 27 years for that country.

Many people planned this day for months. They bought special glasses. They found the best places to watch. They brought their families and friends. Everyone was excited and ready.

But there was one big problem: clouds. The sky was not clear in many places. Some people looked up and saw only gray clouds. They could not see the eclipse at all. They felt sad and disappointed.

However, some people were very lucky. In certain spots, the clouds moved away. The sun appeared. People saw the moon move in front of the sun. For a few minutes, the sky became dark. The air became cold. It was magic. These people will remember this day forever.

Weather is always tricky. You cannot control the sky. Scientists knew that clouds might come. But they could not stop the eclipse. The sun and moon do not wait for good weather.

This eclipse teaches us something important. Sometimes we plan for something amazing. Sometimes things do not go exactly as we hope. But even when things are difficult, small moments of beauty can still happen. For the people who saw the eclipse in Scotland, August 12th was very special.
