Amazon gaming leader: consoles will disappear soon

What if you could play the newest video games without buying an expensive gaming console? This dream may become real soon.

A leader at Amazon's gaming division thinks the future of gaming will look very different. He believes that fewer people will buy physical gaming consoles. Instead, more people will play games by streaming them online. The reason is simple: gaming technology costs a lot of money.

Today, buying a new gaming console can cost $300 to $500. That is a lot of money for many people. Video game developers are also making games more expensive. This high cost is pushing people to find new ways to play games.

Streaming games is like watching a movie on Netflix. You do not need to own the game or the console. You just need an internet connection. The game runs on a powerful computer far away. Your device shows you the game on your screen. It is fast, easy, and cheap.

Many companies are already working on this idea. They want to make game streaming simple for everyone. Young people, especially, like this choice. They can play games on their phones or old computers. They do not need to buy new equipment.

But there are challenges too. You need good, fast internet to stream games well. Some places do not have strong internet yet. Also, many people love owning consoles. They like the feeling of holding a controller in their hands.

So what do you think? Would you prefer to stream games or own a console? What matters more to you: saving money or owning your own equipment?
