호기심 많은 북극곰 코가 올해의 야생동물 사진작가상 주목

A curious polar bear pushes its big nose against a camera. This is not a scary story—it is a beautiful moment caught by a photographer.

Every year, a famous photography competition looks for the best wildlife photos in the world. Professional photographers and nature lovers send in their images. The judges choose the most amazing pictures. In 2026, thousands of photos entered the competition.

One special photo shows a polar bear in the Arctic. The bear is not hunting or fighting. It is simply curious. The photographer, Audun Rikardsen, was lucky to be there. He captured the bear's friendly, nosy nature. The judges said this photo was "highly commended." This means it was very good.

Another photo in the competition shows a small squirrel. The squirrel looks happy and brave. Wildlife photographers spend months or even years waiting for moments like these. They sit quietly in nature. They watch and wait. Then—suddenly—the perfect moment happens.

Why do these photos matter? They help us see animals differently. We do not always think about polar bears as curious or playful. We do not always notice small squirrels. But good wildlife photography makes us stop and look. It makes us care about nature and animals.

These photographers are real artists. They are not just pointing a camera. They understand animal behavior. They know where to go and when to go there. They wait for hours in cold, difficult places. Then they create images that touch our hearts.

The next time you see a wildlife photo, think about the person behind the camera. Think about the hours of waiting. Think about the luck and skill needed to capture one perfect moment. Nature is full of beauty and surprise. Good photographers help us see it.
